Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-term coach his previous coach.
Now working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents his maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from March of that year.
Success also means he has won 21 victories at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is particularly special," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had caused some to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, backed up by an enhanced service.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.
Both players traded service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
Moutet defended four early-game chances in a close third set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
